Airport retailer The Nuance Group's Asia Pacific CEO John Moore will be leaving the company at the end of the year to pursue a new career opportunity. During his six years with the company, Moore was instrumental in bringing retail and marketing innovation into the business.
John Moore joined Nuance after successfully running the Marketing and Image for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and, for the past six years, has played a key role in developing The Nuance Group's Australian and New Zealand businesses.
Importantly, he has been an active board member of the Nuance-Watson joint ventures in Singapore and Hong Kong, which are flagship locations for the group, not only in terms of retail presence, but also performance.
From January 2006, the function of CEO Asia Pacific will cease to exist. Instead, the Australia and New Zealand region, set up in August, as well as the Nuance-Watson joint ventures will be reporting directly to The Nuance Group's President & CEO Roberto Graziani.
Swiss leading travel retailing company The Nuance Group operated 320 shops at 56 airports in 16 countries and providing 4,700 full-time jobs (for 5,300 employees).
Nuance-Watson (Singapore) and Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) are joint ventures of The Nuance Group and A.S.Watson, one of the five core divisions of Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL), one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong.
