Most of the corporate heads (75 per cent) were in agreement with Mr. Bhaumik, who has followed the multi-lateral trading system for well over three decades. They felt that the completion of the Doha Round by the end of 2006 was even more important in the backdrop of the US Fast Track Authority expiring in the middle of 2007 after which the going for the rule-based WTO multilateral system would be much more difficult.
