Indorama to double PET output at Rotterdam plant

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, the Thailand based manufacturer of petrochemicals is planning to double the PET capacity at its Rotterdam, Netherland based plant.

A senior company official based at the Thailand headquarters informed fibre2fashion, that the production capacity is being increased to 390,000 tons per annum, with the installation of an additional production line with an output of 190,000 tons per year.

He added by saying that the cost which will be incurred for the expansion of production capacity will be reduced by sharing existing infrastructure utilities of Indorama Polymers, which is a subsidiary.

Indorama Ventures also is buying a 24 MW power plant that already exists at the site but was operated by a third party.
