Textile & leather consumption decline in Oct

National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies released Household consumption expenditure in manufactured goods results for October 2005.

Household consumption expenditure in manufactured goods, seasonally and working-days adjusted, in volume terms, decreased again in October 2005 (-0.6 percent after -0.3 percent in September, revised by +0.3 point).

Expenditure in durables remained stable in October (after -0.5 percent in September).

Car purchases went down (-1.0 percent after +2.1 percent).

Household consumption in equipment goods slightly moved up (+0.5 percent after -2.2 percent).

Consumption expenditure in textile-leather fell again in October (-3.1 percent after -1.6 percent in September).

Finally, household consumption in other manufactured goods remained stable in October (after +0.6 percent in September).
