The Sinopec Group recently announced pre-offers of polyester chips and polyester staple fiber for August contracts. Semi-dull chips were quoted at 9300 Yuan / ton, bright chips and industrial fiber chips at 9300 Yuan / ton and dull-class chips at 10,100 Yuan / ton.
Polyester chips market is strong; as supply is tight, mainstream quotation in the market is 9400 Yuan / ton.
In the case of polyester staple fiber, 1.4D semi-dull was announced at 10,000 Yuan / ton, 1.2D semi-dull at 10,050 Yuan / ton and 1.2D bright at 10600-10650 Yuan / ton (to be delivered to buyer's destination).
Currently, domestic price for polyester staple fiber 1.4D ranges between 9550-9850 Yuan / ton in mainstream market (to be delivered to buyer's destination, payment in cash or acceptance), which is up by 200 Yuan / ton compared with the previous week.
