Sinopec Group has recently announced pre-offers of polyester chips and polyester staple fiber (PSF) for September contracts.
As per the announcement, Semi-dull chips will be available at 9,400 Yuan / ton, Bright chips and industrial yam slices at 9,400 Yuan / ton and Dull-class slice at 10,200 Yuan / ton.
Market sentiment of polyester chips appears weak. The wait and watch atmosphere is still very strong. Mainstream offers are around 9000-9100 Yuan / ton.
In case of polyester staple fiber, 1.4D semi-dull has been quoted at 10,000 Yuan / ton, 1.2D semi-dull at 10,050 Yuan / ton, and 1.2D bright at 10700-10750 Yuan / ton (to be delivered to buyer's destination).
Currently, in mainstream markets, polyester staple fiber 1.4D is offered within 9550-9750 Yuan/ ton and 1.2D bright at 10800-10850 Yuan / ton, in terms of cash payment and to be delivered to buyer's destination.
