Arkema announces that it will raise the price of all hydrogen peroxide and sodium chlorate grades to 15% on average in Europe and overseas markets with immediate effect, or as contracts allow.

Despite Arkema's continual productivity improvement plans and cost reduction programs to mitigate escalating costs, these measures are now necessary to compensate for raw materials as well as transportation costs.

Arkema is a world leading manufacter of hydrogen peroxide and sodium chlorate with operations in Asia, in Europe and in North America.

Sodium chlorate is mainly used as bleaching agent in paper pulp manufacturing.

Hydrogen peroxide is used in many markets segments such as chemical synthesis, pulp and textile bleaching, aseptic packaging, cleaning, waste water treatment and cosmetics & hygiene.
