The VDMA Textile Machinery Association invites the leaders of the Indian textile industry to participate in the second German Textile Technology Symposium in India, which will take place at “The Residency Hotel” in Coimbatore from 6th to 7th December 2005.
This event will turn Coimbatore to become effectively the capital of textile technology for these two days. Coimbatore is considered "the Manchester of textile technology" and it will host 36 textile machinery and technology manufacturers from Germany, which are deemed to be leaders on the world market.

The VDMA German Textile Machinery Association has initiated this Symposium on the request of its members due to the growing importance Indian textiles are playing on the international textile market.
The event is backed on the German side by the German Federal Ministry of Economics, the German Embassy in Delhi and the German Consulate General in Chennai.
From the Indian side it is supported by the South Indian Textile Mills Association and other Textile Associations and by some of the leading textile technology magazines in India. The organisation lies in the hands of MCO Marketing Organisation, Düsseldorf, an international leading conference organiser, and the lndo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), Chapter of Chennai.
The VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau - German Engineering Federation) is one of the key association service providers in Europe and offers the largest engineering industry network in Europe. It represents 3,000 mainly small/medium size member companies in the engineering industry, making it one of the largest and most important industrial associations in Europe.
