Over the past years, the market for fiber technology components has moved to Asia and particularly to China in the same manner as the market for textile machinery manufacturing.
Saurer – and in particular its textile components business – has built up its own manufacturing, procurement, sales and distribution and service infrastructures in those regions. Such infrastructures enable significant synergies to be exploited with Heberlein fiber technology, and a positioning even closer to the customers will be possible.
Saurer is operating its components business in parallel to its textile machinery business division. Heberlein, Enka tecnica and Electrotex will be run within the independent components business, in parallel to TEXParts. Heberlein, Enka tecnica und Electrotex will continue to operate actively in the market under their respective brand names. All production sites taken over from Gurit-Heberlein will be maintained.
Swiss textile machinery firm Saurer Textile is a leading manufacturer of technologically sophisticated systems for spinning, texturizing, twisting and embroidery. Saurer Textile brings together eight brand names: Allma, Barmag, Melco, Neumag, Saurer Embroidery, Schlafhorst, Volkmann and Zinser.
