The Group continues to invest in new stores and its underlying infrastructure, both in the UK and Europe, and plans to open two stores in Poland in the second half. The Group is well positioned to grow sales and profits as soon as the market improves.
Carpetright plc is aimed at all sectors of the floor covering retail market, combining breadth of range, keen pricing and good service to provide the best offer to the customer. Carpetright started in November 1988 with 1 store, operating from a central warehouse in Barking, and opened three more stores by February 1989.
