On world level yarn inventories moved up by 3.3 percent in Q3. While all regions reported higher inventories, Europe experienced a curtailment of 3.9 percent.
Compared to Q3 2004 world yarn inventories dipped by 6.7 percent, with all regions participating in the built down (North America by 10.4 percent, South America by 8.7 percent, Europe by 8.5 percent and Asia by 5.5 percent).
Global fabric stocks decreased in Q3 2005 by 1.8 percent.
Participating in the downward movement South America and Europe experienced the strongest reductions (-3.0 percent and -2.2 percent, respectively), while North America (-0.9 percent) and Asia (-0.7 percent) showed minor variations.
On a yearly basis the level of global fabric inventory declined in Q3 2005 by 5.0 percent.
All regions reported lower stocks, especially South America (-8.7 percent) but also North America (-6.8 percent), Europe (-4.6 percent) and Asia (-2.9 percent).
Both yarn and fabric orders grew in Brazil in Q3 2005 (+1.5 percent and +3.1 percent, respectively), while those in Europe fell by 0.4 percent and 3.0 percent, respectively.
On an annual basis yarn orders were below the levels of 2004 both in Europe (-4.8 percent) and Brazil (-5.0 percent).
Also fabric orders were considerably lower in Q3 2005 both in Europe (-10.6 percent) and Brazil (-9.7 percent) compared to the Q3 2004.
