Of course Eschler also offers flame-retardent knits for customer groups who do not pose such strict requirements regarding moisture transportation and functionality. Yarns from Lenzing Company, (Lenzing FR) are principally used for these more price-competitive alternatives.

The extensive collection of flame-retardent knits includes numerous other qualities for all the layers: flame-retardent e1-fabrics for underwear and T-shirts, to be worn next to the skin; e2-fabrics, napped on one or both sides as flame-retardent fleece fabrics; wind- and water-resistant e3-fabrics, which can be used as flame-retardent soft-shells, as well as their wind- and waterproof variant, which Eschler terms e3+, and for which a flame-resistant membrane is used.

A highlight of the e3+ collection is a 3-layer-laminate, which fulfils not only the specification EN ISO 11612:2008 for use in protective clothing against heat and flames, but also the specification EN 61482-1-2:2007 for protective clothing for work under tension with thermal danger caused by light arcs.
