Iceland-China trade gains momentum in Jan-Oct period

Statistics Bureau of Iceland informed the trade results between Iceland and China during January to October 2005 to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) of the People's Republic of China.

According to statistics form Statistics Bureau of Iceland, in January through October, total import and export of Iceland were US $6.305 billion, up by 8.3 percent compared with same time last year, close to total in 2004.

Export was $2.529 billion, up by 4.5 percent and import was $3.776 billion, up by 31.3 percent.

According to statistics of Customs of China, in January through October, total import and export of China with Iceland was US$105 million, up by 70.1 percent.

Export to Iceland was $61.244 million, up by 57 percent and import was $43.646 million, up by 92.5 percent.
