Indian Textile Processing Industry is going through metamorphosis. Once considered to be the 'weakest link' in the value chain is now the core focus of the industry for investment and up-gradation of technology.
Demand for processed fabric is buoyant, and changing customer's taste in fashion necessitates integration and colour trends to the dying and processing segment. Also new technology needs to be understood and adopted to cater to specific needs of the ever changing buyers demand from long term perspective. In this context, TAI intends to bring together the industry to a common discussion forum in February 2006 through a Seminar.
In the Seminar, the captains of the industry, senior technocrats and the Government representatives will put forth their views, which would go a long way in taking a step in the right direction.
