North Andaman Apparel is set to become the first Myanmarese company to exhibit at Sourcing at Magic exhibition in Las Vegas, US.

At the upcoming exhibition, North Andaman will display its products at Booth 61805 in the 'Factories of Distinction' area from August 14-17, 2016.

The participation of North Andaman in the expo shows the increasing potential of Myanmar as a production base for garments.

Myanmar (formerly Burma) represents a tremendous opportunity for garment and apparel buyers worldwide. The country's apparel industry has now recovered and it is now producing to its former volumes. There is likelihood of substantial further growth driven by Myanmar's highly motivated and eager workforce.

In the 1990s, the US was the biggest market for Myanmar made garments. Even though the industry contracted significantly afterwards, a nucleus of companies continued making high quality garments for Japan and Korea.

“With nearly 20 years of experience in manufacturing and exporting from Myanmar, North Andaman is perfectly placed to deliver quality garments, competitively priced, on time. We have a growing team of marketing, merchandising, quality and compliance, logistics and finance professionals,” Richard Williams, general manager, North Andaman, told Fibre2Fashion.

“North Andaman Apparel offers global buyers, competitive CMP, FOB and CIF in terms of price, quality and social responsibility,” he added. (RKS)
