In Delhi, demand for cotton yarn was limited as buyers remained cautious after the doubling of US tariffs on Indian goods. However, spinning mills did not reduce their selling prices. A trader from the Delhi market told Fibre2Fashion, “Spinners know that nobody will buy cotton yarn in substantial quantities, so they are not keen to reduce prices to attract buyers. Traders and stockists are offering some discounts on a case-to-case basis, but mills are pressurising them to lift supplies on the due date.”
