The weakening of ICE cotton has also reduced the likelihood of cotton yarn exports from India. In Panipat, the recycled yarn market experienced weak demand, but prices did not decrease. Manufacturers are attempting to maintain prices despite higher supply.
Cotton yarn was traded down by ****;* per kg in the Ludhiana market due to slow demand. A trader from Ludhiana told Fibre2Fashion, "There were multiple factors contributing to the slow demand. The garment industry was uncertain about improved demand in domestic and international markets. Fabric demand has also dwindled in the last few weeks. Cotton yarn exports were slow, as declining ICE cotton discouraged foreign buyers."
