Optimistic market supports higher ethylene prices

Ethylene prices went up in Asia in the last week due to optimistic market fundamentals in the region.
 
In FE Asia, average prices increased by US$ 65/ton and quoted at US$ 1190/ton in the last week,
as compared to previous week, a climb of 5.78 per cent.
 
In Japan, average prices advanced by US$ 65/ton and assessed at US$ 1185/ton in the last week, a hike of 5.80 per cent compared to previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices moved up by US$ 30/ton and quoted at US$ 1095/ton in the last week, an increase of 2.82 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices surged by US$ 60/ton and assessed at US$ 1270/ton in the last week, registering an improvement of 4.96 per cent from the previous week.
