Ashok Singhal, a trader from Ludhiana market, told Fibre2Fashion, “Rising container freight charges in the international market and stronger domestic cotton prices have supported the yarn price rise. Although there was no direct correlation with international freight charges, yarn prices have gained due to the general inflationary impact. Container freight charges have seen a rise of over ** per cent in a few weeks.”
