Poland's core inflation reaches 11.1% in June 2023: NBP

Poland’s inflation net of food and energy prices (core inflation) hit 11.1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in June 2023, according to the data by Narodowy Bank Polski (NBP), Poland's central bank. The consumer price index (CPI) for the same period stood at 11.5 per cent YoY.

Inflation excluding administered prices, or those controlled by the state, was recorded at 10.3 per cent YoY, marking a drop from the previous month's figure of 12.1 per cent. Inflation net of the most volatile prices stood at 14.4 per cent, a slight decrease from the 14.9 per cent figure recorded a month earlier.

Meanwhile, the 15 per cent trimmed mean inflation, which excludes the impact of 15 per cent of the price basket characterised by the highest and lowest growth rates, was reported at 12.8 per cent YoY, compared to 13.5 per cent a month earlier, as per NBP.
