Chief minister of India’s Punjab state Bhagwant Mann recently offered 1,000 acres of land in Fatehgarh Sahib district to the central government for setting up a textile park under the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Parks (PM MITRA) scheme. He wrote a letter to union textile minister Piyush Goyal in this regard, saying land has been identified for the project.The aim is to put the state on the orbit of a high growth industrial growth trajectory and generate employment, Indian media reports said.
