Sluggish trends drive down Asian propylene last week

Sluggish buying trends in the region drove down propylene prices in Asia in the last week ended Oct 9.

In Korea, average prices dropped by US$ 15/ton or 2.91 per cent and were assessed at US$ 500/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices declined by US$ 10/ton and were quoted at US$ 495/ton in the last week, down 1.98 per cent as against its earlier week.

In SE Asia, average prices dipped by US$ 10/ton and were spotted at US$ 505/ton in the last week, a decrease of 1.94 per cent vis-a-vis its prior week.

In India, average prices decreased by US$ 10/ton or 1.94 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 505/ton in the last week.

In China, average prices descended by US$ 15/ton and were witnessed at US$ 550/ton in the last week, down 2.65 per cent as compared to its previous week.
