South India cotton yarn steady; Mumbai demand improves slightly

A trader from the Mumbai market told Fibre*Fashion, “Cotton prices increased in recent weeks. Buyers came forward to purchase as they wanted to restock. The market also saw better fabric lifting, indicating a pickup in garment production activities.” Domestic cotton yarn demand is expected to improve in the coming week as summer demand strengthens.
