Soyaconcept to present sustainability concept at Panorama

For retailers, organic cotton is the material of the hour. While many brands are opting for different blends with biodegradable fibres, Soyaconcept is going one step further. By using viscose fibres such as EcoVero and recycled polyester, the brand is laying further foundations for an alternative and more environmentally friendly production of their collections, which means that it has been able to reduce its emissions and water consumption by up to 50 per cent.

Apart from that, Soyaconcept is committed to an all-round sustainability concept. This includes everything from an ethically correct sourcing of the materials, to reducing waste down to environmentally efficient packaging and distribution methods in their logistics. With mindful attention to detail, Soyaconcept even prints all its hangtags, catalogues and office stationery on FSC-certified paper. And this approach even extends to its marketing strategy as it uses sustainable materials such as plastic made from straw, sugar cane, recycled polyester and nonwovens to make promotional items.

Up to 30 per cent of Soyaconcept’s High Summer 2020 collection is made from sustainable fibres. For its upcoming Pre-Fall 2020 collection and other drops, the label is planning on increasing the percentage of sustainable fibres to 50 per cent.

This makes the brand one of the sustainable pioneers in the modern womenswear segment and shows that sustainability certainly doesn’t stop at the production.
