This index tracks new orders, business volume, inventory turnovers, employment and utility rates of the equipment.
The sub-index for new orders increased by 4.4 percentage points MoM to reach 48.8 per cent, while for that of business expectations reached 53.7 per cent, up 1.8 percentage points from a month ago, Chinese media reports said quoting the CFLP.
The improved performance can be attributed to the measures adopted by China to unblock logistics and help the businesses during difficulties, said CFLP’s assistance president He Hui.
Additionally, the country’s major ports collectively handled more than 23 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers in the May, and shanghai port handled 3.41 million TEUs. according to the Chinese ministry of transport. The cargo throughput of all the major ports reached 1.03 billion tons last month.
