Technip bags contract for Azerbaijan petrochemical complex

Socar GPC has awarded a service contract for ethylene and cryomax technology licenses to Technip for a petrochemical complex, part of a new gas and petrochemical complex, located in Azerbaijan. Technip will be developing the process and engineering design of all the process units, as well as the design of the related utilities and off sites.

The scope of work covers the engineering design of a new gas processing plant with capacity of 10 BCMA and a new petrochemical plant including a steam cracker with a capacity of 610 KTA of ethylene and 120 KTA of propylene.

The service contract also includes the utilities and off sites scope includes the design of all the necessary units to operate the plant efficiently all which are scheduled to be completed during the second half of 2017. (AR)
