Teijin Frontier is showcasing highly functional materials and its environmental action policy 'Think Eco' at OutDoor Friedrichshafen 2016, a trade fair for outdoor products which started from July 13 in Germany.

The company will show waterproof and breathable Eco Storm, which is laminated with a thin polyester film and made with Eco Circle Fibres, Teijin's special closed-loop recycling process.

Deltapeak, another product, is soft, durable and stretchable and also offers ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and wind-breaking performance, thanks to its dense, flat-knit surface, while also being highly wear and snag-resistant.

One more product is Octa polyester fibre, which features a unique, highly modified cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fibre and has rapid sweat absorption and fast drying properties.

Teijin will also display high-tenacity Pasmo polyester material, which achieves superior comfort and body support based on a tensile strength that is 1.5 times greater than that of conventional materials.

The Outdoor Friedrichshafen stall of Teijin will also exhibit partially bio-derived polytrimethylene terephthalate fibres like Solotex, which is soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable. (AR)
