UK-based Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) recently published guidance for employers, highlighting the key risks being faced by migrants during the COVID-19 crisis, providing advice on key actions for employers, highlighting the roles of other key stakeholders and detailing a number of key principles they must take in relation to migrant workers.

The principles ETI highlighted include rights at work of all migrant workers, whose violation should be protected by companies; informing all migrant workers about their rights and options for exercising them; access to health information, testing, treatment and care; receiving wages and any compensation owed to them on the termination of their contract and adequate, paid sick leave for all migrant workers.
No migrant worker should suffer discrimination, stigma or mistreatment due to their migrant status, ETI said in a press release.
