Xinjiang to train textile & garment staff in 2016

Xinjiang Uygur, an autonomous territory in China, will train around 500 management professionals and around 10,000 to 20,000 workers in 2016 for the betterment of its textile and garment sector, a Karamay government website reported.

The staff will be sent to other textile and garment enterprises in China for observation, learning and experience, according to Xinhua in Urumqi. The first batch of employees will be trained in sales and marketing, management and production.

Xinjiang has sent around 300 textile and garment professionals for training since October 2015 to approximately 20 enterprises.

The region is an established cotton producer in China, and this effort is expected to boost its development. (MCJ)
