LMW posts 20% rise in Q2 net profit

Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW), one of the top three companies manufacturing the entire range of textile spinning machinery, has posted 20.58 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 over the corresponding period of last year.

“The company has posted a net profit of Rs 56.48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 46.84 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014,” LMW said in its filing of un-audited standalone results  for the quarter to the  BSE.

Meanwhile, the company's total income increased by 5.33 per cent from Rs 615.58 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014 to Rs 648.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The Coimbatore based company manufactures textile spinning machinery ranging from blow room to ring spinning. It has also diversified into manufacturing of CNC machine tools and has also set up an advanced technology centre to make components for aerospace industry. (RKS)
