Uludag Exporters' Association reported that Textile exports from the city of Bursa rose 11.7 percent to reach US $57.9 million in January 2006, up from $51.8 million in January 2005.
However, exports of readymade clothing registered a 7.8 percent decline, sliding to $37.7 million from $40.9 million for the same period.
Uludag Exporters' Association is a professional, non-profit association working under the Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade and aims at promoting Turkish export.
