Fashion industry faced difficult time in 2005, but now it seems a distant past as evident from increase in orders for the Prato textile district.
There are plenty of orders against few plants to accomplish those orders, and plants production capacity from that region has reached saturation point and this situation was discussed at an assembly of the Fashion Federation of the Artisan Confederation of Prato.
Plants machinery usage in some sectors have exceeded 80 percent.
Though, there is no dearth of orders, but low prices often kill profitablity of sub-contracting companies.
