Since US stopped issuing auto-visa for textile and apparel exports from Vietnam, in April 2006, they reached $450 million, representing around 10.5 percent decline compared to March figure.
This drop was recorded particularly in 'hot' categories like No.338/339 (Mens & Boys knit shirts, No.347/348 (Mens and Boys trousers, breeches & shorts).
However, textile and apparel industry players have been carrying out measures to solve problems they face as well as develop exports.
