Vietnam has emerged as the sixth largest exporter of textiles to the US as a result of its successful first two months of 2006.
By February, Vietnam's position climbed up to sixth and ninth in terms of exports revenue and volume, respectively.
Major demand was recorded in the categories No. 359/659S (other cotton apparel) whereas that for No.338/339 (M&B knit shirts ) categories fell 2.58 percent.
According to General Customs' report, performance rate of No. 359/659S categories improved 80 percent by mid April, as similar goods from China is reallocated with quota.
