Revitalized textile sector pushes mfg output by 4.1%

Manufacturing Output of Morocco increased 4.1 percent due to recovery of textile industry, which faced severe competition from the Asian countries.
In 2005 manufacturing output dropped by 3 percent because of poor performance of the textile industry.
Government is planning to cease free trade deals to increase country's exports.
It has also started to develop trade zones by providing offshore services, aerospace, electronic and auto component manufacturing.
To compete with India and China, Morocco's government has decided to upgrade technology and reduce transportation cost.
