Companies in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola area have recorded a three percent increase in the industrial production during the second quarter of 2006 compared to the same period in 2005.
This was revealed by a survey conducted by local Chamber of Commerce among 89 enterprises and more than 2400 employees.
Small and medium enterprises performed the best notching growth of 5.2 percent and income rise of 9.3 percent against an overall average of 6.7 percent.
Textiles registered an impressive growth of 11.8 percent among the sectoral performances for the period.
