Fire broke out in Connacher Textile Factory at Caversham Road on December 6, 2006 at 4am, in which one labourer sustained first degree burns. Entire factory was burnt down.
Traffic around the factory was diverted to other routes to help firefighters who tried to extinguish the blaze.
Divisional Commander of eThekwini fire department informed that the building has been razed to the ground. He said the department is trying acertain the reason for the blaze.
Nearby residents held factory management responsible for the fire.
