Production and sales up for May 2005, says SA Statistics

According to this monthly survey manufacturing production for the three months ended April 2005 increased by 1.7% after seasonal adjustment, compared with the previous three months, says official Statistical Newsletter of South Africa.
The estimated total value of sales of manufactured products at current prices increased by 3.8% (+R7 572 million), after seasonal adjustment, during the same period.
The wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the three months ended April 2005 increased by 5.1% compared with the three months ended April 2004.
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the three months ended April 2005 showed a decrease of 6.6% compared with the previous three months.
