Belarus raises export duty on oil & oil products

Government of Belarus has increased the export duties on oil and oil products on the basis of agreement signed with Russia.

According to a Government resolution, from January 1, 2007, the duty on crude oil exported from the Republic of Belarus to the countries outside the territory of Eurasian Economic Community stands at US $1,807 per ton.

The export duties on propane, ethene, propylene and other liquefied gases are fixed at $134 per ton.

Governments of both the countries signed an agreement on January 12 for export duties on crude oil supplied to Belarus in 2007.
