Turkish Statistical Institute released inflation figures for January. According to released data, the consumer price index (CPI) posted a monthly increase of 0.43 percent in January in line with the consensus estimate of market.
As a result, the annual inflation rate increased from 9.9 percent in January to 10.2 percent last month.
The indices rose for miscellaneous goods and services by 1.20 percent, for furnishings and household equipment 0.75 percent, for transportation 0.67 percent, for housing 0.49 percent, for clothing and footwear -6.47 percent.
In the meantime, the producer price index (PPI) recorded a monthly increase of 0.95 percent, taking the annual inflation reading to 10.1 from 9.37 percent in January.
