Textile export shows down trend in March

According to a report of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's textile and apparel export in March is showing a downtrend of 24.3 percent year-on-year to $7.98 billion.

The country exported textiles and apparel worth $31.35 billion in the first quarter, up 14.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

The report also revealed that country's textile production presented fast growth in first quarter, with yarn output rising 21.6 percent to 4.17 million tons.

China's textile and apparel exports grew 25.2 percent to $143.99 billion while import increased 5.6 percent to $18.09 billion.

In order to cope up with the trade surplus, Government is planning to reduce export tax rebate on textile products.
