According to the latest data issued by State Development and Reform Commission (SDRC), China national yarn output reached 1.834 million tons in June, an increase of 19.4 percent over the same time last year. Textile and garment exports achieved US $16.196 billion, a rise of 24.49 percent over the corresponding time a year ago.
During January to June, China's yarn output marked 9.2732 million tons, up 19.51 percent over the same time last year. National textile and garment exports amounted to $73.545 billion, up 17.47 percent.
According to a spot check by the state cotton market monitoring system, average sales progress of cotton processing enterprises realized 92.14 percent by the end of June, a boost of 21.72 percent.
As the end of June, landed mill price of home produced cotton at standard level was 13,733 yuan per ton on average, up 730 yuan compared with the beginning of the month, a rise of 5.61 percent. The monthly average price was 13,355 yuan per ton, 384 yuan higher from the previous month, an increase of 2.96 percent.
Electronic transactions at National Cotton Trade Market touched 13,983 yuan per ton by the end of June, rising 467 yuan per ton, an increase of 3.46 percent.
