By July end, spandex prices fell slightly; of this, spandex 20D bright filament declined from 128,000 yuan per ton to 127,000 yuan per ton.
During the same period, spandex 30D bright filament price remained at 98,000 yuan per ton, 40D bright filament rate stabilized at 80,000 yuan per ton and 70D semi-bright filament price hovered at 80,000 yuan per ton.
In addition, spandex covered yarn price went flat. Of this, the semi-bright, spandex covered yarn 2070 made in Yiwu City was traded at 44,000 yuan per ton whereas model number 4075 remained at 26,000 yuan per ton.
Although overall spandex price in late July showed slight weakening trend, upstream raw material cost remained stable. Domestic market supply of spandex remained adequate during this period.
