Yarn output in July shows a downward trend

According to National Bureau of Statistics, the yarn output of large-scale enterprises in July reached around 1.691 million tons, showing a decline of 1,43,100 tons and a decrease of 7.8 percent compared to last month.

However, compared to the same period last year, this is 2,34,000 tons or 16.06 percent higher.

According to statistics, in the first 11 months of the cotton year, which ran from September 2006 to July 2007, China's spinning capacity marked nearly 17.33 million tons, an increasing of about 2.89 million tons over the same time last year, up 20.04 percent.

Spinning volume of the first seven months of 2007 achieved around 10.96 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of about 1.74 million tons, a rise of 18.96 percent.
