Recent data of China Statistics Bureau shows that the country has nearly 13849 big-scale clothing, shoes and caps enterprises that have accounted for a total output of 468.3 billion yuan. It marked an increase of 23 percent compared to the same last year.
While the total capital reached 408 billion yuan, up 17.5 percent, the total profit also saw a hike of 29.08 percent. Even the estimates for workers went up by 5.30 percent with more than 3.90 million workers engaged in the large scale clothing, shoes and caps enterprises.
Additionally, the first eight months of 2007 recorded a 22.33 percent rise in the export value of Chinese clothes which reached US $73.11 billion.
Import value of clothes to China on the other hand, was $1.23 billion up by 7.68 percent. The average clothes import and export surplus of China was about $71.817 billion which means that the country still holds an upright position in foreign trade.
Besides, the over all investment value of Chinese clothing, shoes and caps industry also went up by 42.65 percent reaching a sum of 120.17 billion yuan.
