Serbian foreign trade in the first 11 months of this year amounted to US $24,419.8 million marking a growth of 38.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
Nearly $7,982.4 million worth goods were exported to countries like Italy, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina accounting a growth of 38.1 percent against 2006.
Increased exports can be attributed to privatization and restructuring of companies, sanctioned agreements on free trade like the Central European Free Trade Agreement and the contract signed with EU that accords preferential status to Serbian textile products.
Goods worth $16,437.4 million were imported from the Russian Federation, Germany and Italy.
Trade deficit stood at $8,454.9 million showing an increase by 40.3 percent against the same period in 2006.
