Rohm and Haas's Paint and Coatings Materials business announced that it will implement price increases for all acrylic emulsions, styrene-containing polymers, and additives sold to the architectural coatings, industrial coatings, construction and building products, floor care, traffic markings, roof coatings, textiles and high-performance nonwovens industries in North America.
The increase of $0.04 (four cents) per wet pound for emulsions and additives will take effect immediately or as contracts allow.
The increase is required to offset the continuing escalation in all major petrochemical feedstocks costs, especially propylene, acetone, methanol, and ammonia, which have all reached record levels.
