Slovak Republic textile and apparel industry proved underdog in 2005 following the weak trend of 2004.
According to Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, Textile and Apparel Output (2000=100, Adjusted for Working Days), September output amounted to 97.2; record point since June, but reflected annual drop of 9.8 percent.
Monthly textile and apparel output has seen annual drop for the past eight months in a row, and has gone down in 18 of the past 21 months.
