Q2 FY16 consolidate revenue rises by 7% at Arvind

Arvind Ltd, a textile and apparel giant based in India, has recorded an increase in its consolidate revenue by 7 per cent in the second quarter (ended on September 30, 2015) for fiscal 2015-16, according to a press statement released by the company.

Arvind's consolidate revenue for the quarter stands at Rs 2,096 crore as compared to the consolidate revenue of Rs 1,965 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. The consolidate revenue for the first half of this fiscal stands at Rs 3,973 crore.

Commenting on the Q2 performance of the company, Jayesh Shah, director and CFO of Arvind, said, “The performance for the quarter has been satisfactory considering the very challenging domestic markets. We expect the second half of this fiscal to be better as compared to the corresponding second half of last fiscal.”

Consolidate EBITDA for Q2 is up by 8 per cent, and now stands at Rs 261 crore as compared to Rs 242 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

Profit after Tax (PAT), before exceptional items, was marginally lower at Rs 95 crore, as compared to Rs 97 crore in the corresponding quarter last year because of higher tax provision. (MCJ)
