Net income attributable to the company rose to $144.7 million (Q4 FY20: $46.2 million).

“The fourth quarter sales growth was broad-based across all geographies and channels. Retail partners continue to drive sales with our products, and our online sales stood out once again as our US web sales doubled compared to the prior year. This strong sales performance combined with favourable company-wide margins resulting in 2020 being a record year of financial performance,” Scott Thompson, chairman and CEO at Tempur Sealy, said in a press release.

Gross profit during Q4 FY20 grew to $485.2 million ($386.4 million). Operating income increased to $193.2 million ($86.4 million).

Sales in North America improved 20.6 per cent to $893.6 million ($741.2 million). Whereas, international net sales were up 25.6 per cent to $163.4 million ($130.1 million).

“Our North American growth was broad-based by brand and channel, with some sales constrained by the shortage of key components, primarily innersprings,” Thompson said. “Our innovative products, powerful omni-channel marketing approach and robust global manufacturing capabilities position the company well for 2021 and beyond.”
